Co/Angler Feast or Famine
« on: September 17, 2012, 07:16:22 PM »
Spent last weekend on the Arkansas River fishing out of Three Forks Harbor near Muskogee. On Thursday I was paired up with a guy who was not a local. He caught on small keeper spot and I got blanked.  :-\.  On Friday I got paired up with a different guy who also was not a local. He weighed in 5 for 12 something. I weighed in 3 for 8.61. What a difference a day can make as a coangler. Had I weighed in something Thursday I might have placed but ya gotta be consistent which is an interesting challenge as a co/angler.  I was selected as an observer for Steve Kennedy on Saturday and he finished fourth. That man was incredible to watch. He had a big goose egg in the backlash dept. and he only missed his casting target twice over the entire course of the day. He was very focused but still a real congenial guy on the water.

This weekend is a club vs club event of 6 man teams. what little I've been on that lake I love it but I am not optimistic, that's for sure.
