I have a friend arriving today  from Kansas to visit for a few days. I've only been on the water once so far this entire year.  >:( Wouldn't ya know it, it rained about 3 1/2" Saturday. I drove over to take a look see at the damage and the lake is up 3 1/2'. It usually only fluctuates approximately 18".  Looked like it might have been thick enough to plow. The neighbor was on the water Sunday and said it appeared the entire Sherwood forest was coming down the lake, lots of dodging. Guess it'll be more of a sightseeing visit than a fishcatchin one. Oh well. BTW I'm looking for a buyer for my champ before I skedaddle to Florida. I don't particularly want to drag it over there but I may have to since I don't appear to be well enough organized to get it posted before I actually leave. This six year old grandson and my packing duties have me sleeping well at night with not a lot of extra time. I am however, going to take a couple days off while my friend is here. Can someone post up some pics so I don't forget just what it is that gets me out of bed in the morning ?

Bass don't eat what they don't see.

I hope you and your friend get some good fishing in. A lot of our fish on Sunday came from deeper water. More than 12' deep. Probably because of rising water level.
