On fire!
« on: May 12, 2012, 08:16:20 PM »
Caught a bunch of smallmouths today. Went out with my buddy to a near by metro park. Pretty much biting on everything, although I stuck with my trusty Fat Albert grub all day. My buddy nailed a nice size pike. I had 2 15"+ smallmouths on one hook, one got off,but I managed to land the other one.Managed around 12-13 fish(5 in the 14"+) caught by me and 9-10 by my buddy. All i a short span of 3 hours....Not too shabby if i say so myself. Everybody else we asked said fishing was slow. We caught them cast by cast in some spots.

Looking forward to trying out my new kayak for my anniversary gift from my wife. Life is finally headed back in a great direction! Now I just need time off work....LOL.

yes sir it is,the season is just starting. C&R season has already started.

I can tell here because the walleyes and crappies bite is now non existence.I should say they've been pushed to deeper water now. This is the only way I can tell the bass are now moving in. It's how i tell things have turned over to the spring pattern.

Gman needs to make it up here soon, everything biting well now.
