More snow...Again
« on: February 03, 2014, 01:15:55 AM »
The snow and ice from last downfall had finally melted off and we end up getting about four inches of new snow. Hopefully most of it will melt off tomorrow as it warms into upper 30's. Seems like it does this every year lately either on my birthday or the day after.  :-\

For once we missed it.  But 40 miles south of us they had several inches.  Over 100 schools in far south MO and north AR are closed due to bad roads today.

I'm running out of propane....come on spring.

BTW:  Scott, I haven't forgotten about the shirts.  I check at least once a week but nothing yet.  They seem to have about 1000 in small but not a XXL so far when I have been there.  I'll keep looking.

Just finished shoveling over half of my driveway. Now I will let the sun and pending rain take care of the rest.  ;)

Keep that stuff up there!  I can't take another day like last Tuesday.

When I got to my friends house after my 4 hour drive of 10 miles, I was completely stressed and worn out.   I wasn't able to make the next 3 miles to my house.
But I was one of the lucky ones.  I knew some that were stuck in their car for 10 hours, and then walked 6 miles and 3 hours in the ice to get to a safe place.

It is snowing in OK right now and heading our way.  I hope it holds off long enough for me to go cut a load of wood this morning.

We are getting snow right now. I hope it does not accumulate much. Later this coming week though it is supposed to get up to mid 40's and maybe some rain. That will be good. It will melt a lot of the snow and hopefully thaw out some of the ramps so I can get on the water.

I got part of a load of wood cut this am.  More snow is on the way Mon.  It may make it to you Tues Carter.   After that we are supposed to be in the 40s with sun.  Come on spring.

Our snow this morning ended up not being much. Yeah, I saw on weather report we may get some snow in a day or two.

Thanks for looking Dane. Wife sayís I need new clothes; so why not fishing clothes?

We lost our power last Tuesday due to down power lines. Then Saturday morning my power supply in my computer went out. Related??
Got my step-son to put a new one in Sunday. He works cheap.

Gota tell this: Bought my wife a Ford Edge. Coming home one evening she encountered our very slick driveway so she tells me that this car is so smart it even tells you when the tire are slipping. I got the book out and read to her the part about traction control. The next afternoon she is telling me how her car just basically drives itself up the driveway!
I am going to have to teach that woman how to read! ::)

That's a good one Scott.  I had a nice early morning chuckle out of that.

Aw c'mon Scott, let her have fun with her "miracle" car  ;D

We got another inch or two of snow last night. Area schools got cancelled again. Glad my kids have already graduated.
