It's a bit nippy here at 20 degrees. The sun is shining and only 5-10 breeze from the north but it's not blowing yet. I am heading over to Banner Creek to check it out.

Bass don't eat what they don't see.

23 strong north wind, snow, slick streets.  Spfld. police said this morning too many fender benders to cover.  Exchange info and go on if your vehicle is driveable.

I'll wait till Thurs when it is all melted and gone.

Its amazing how many people forget to drive on the first few snows.

YOWSA WOWZA was it cold! I don't think it ever got over 25 today. Them fish moved off and almost put the slip on me. The water temp had dropped to 36.8 which may have been a factor. I was about to call it in but decided to let the Humminbird look for em. After 15 minutes we found em about 150 yrds away from where I left em the other day. Once again I had to sort through plenty to get some keepers. I brought home 16. I  got some pretty hard water on my pond.

Good goin' Steve.  Did you take any screen shots of them today?  Did you find them around shad or on cover or on structure?

Jig Man the fish were actually around some standing timber, but not in it. They were suspended in the mouth of a cove  that is full of timber. They were at the front edge where the timber starts. I don't think my bow depthfinder will take a screen shot. It's a 797c2I. My 997 will though and I shoulda took a couple. I have an extra card in it for that purpose. At one point I thought a pic would be neat as the sonar return looked quite a bit like a christmas tree in shape and was all freen with red blobs of crappie stacked in there. Maybe I'll  try to get a couple next time out. there were some shad in the area but I didn't see any large amounts of them.
14 Degrees here this morning. The pond water is getting harder as we speak.

My fish are right smack dab on the bottom on ledges.  You can rarely see them.  They aren't schooled up.  They are scattered and I get one here and there.  They are however, at consistent depths.  Most of the time what ever depth you find them is the depth for the day unless you change river arms.

BigT is coming over this morning and going with me.  We haven't been out together for almost 3 years.
